Background
MC Adi, also known as Vertex, was one of the early collaborators with A.L.E.N. during the founding days of the label. Together, they planned to form a music duo — working on multiple tracks that were either scrapped or ended up being part of the debut N.T.P. mixtape.
Releases
The only official tracks MC Adi released through Brothers Recordings were “To Be Honest” and “Blazing”. The original version of “Blazing” featured A.L.E.N., but that version is now considered lost to time.
Both tracks used copyrighted beats, but the label allowed their use under one condition — everything had to remain completely non-profit. So that’s exactly what we did. The entire mixtape was non-profit and released on SoundCloud and YouTube.
Hospital Era
During the mixtape production period, MC Adi was in the hospital and couldn’t participate as actively as MC Lukeri (aka MC Lukas) or A.L.E.N. did. Despite this, his contributions left a mark on the early sound of the label.
